New Life Plan for 2016

There is a new, valuable benefit being offered this year: A voluntary supplemental life and AD&D insurance offered through Standard Insurance available for purchase through a separate enrollment form. This option will allow you to purchase additional life insurance not only for yourself, but also for any eligible family members. A New Program offered by Health Net for 2016 – MDLIVE

MDLIVE has been selected by Health Net to provide you with access to primary care physicians and pediatricians by secure video, phone or email. These consultations are provided at no charge. MDLIVE is easy to access and available on your schedule 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can register online at, or by phone at 1-888-632-2738. The service complies with all confidentiality and privacy regulations.

Postdoc HMO Medical Premium Contributions for 2015/2016

Per the UAW negotiated contract, beginning originally in January 2012, all postdocs enrolled in the Health Net medical HMO plan began making a small contribution toward their coverage. The contributions are actually going to be lower for 2016. Please click on Postdoc Healthcare Premium Contributions to learn of the amounts that will be deducted or billed for 2015 and 2016.
